Come on in. My name is Yvonne Fincham, and I welcome you to look around my site and see whether it feels like a good space for you.

About me……

Over the years, I noticed that people often shared the difficult things with me — I have always felt privileged that people trusted me enough to be able to talk to me about their thoughts, feelings and worries.

When I began thinking about retraining, I found myself returning to this. I started to wonder whether something that had always felt natural to me could become something I offered professionally.

Training as an integrative therapist gave me the opportunity to develop this further, grounding my natural way of being with people in professional knowledge, theory and ethical practice.

I completed a first-class honours degree in Counselling and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship at the University of Warwick, which deepened my understanding of the importance of the therapeutic relationship and the foundations that support meaningful work.

Today, I work relationally, believing that being genuinely seen, heard and understood can create the space for change and new possibilities.

For me, being a therapist is a huge honour, and on a daily basis I am reminded of people's strength, their complexities and their capacity for real change that is only measured by them. Every person brings their own story, and I never lose sight of the trust involved in sharing that story with another person.
